Terms of Service

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, forms, client portal, and related digital services operated by Our Neighborhood Handyman LLC ("ONH," "we," "us"). By using our site, submitting a lead, creating an account, or engaging us for services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services or site. Written estimates, work authorizations, or other signed documents may add or override specific commercial terms for a particular job.

Services Provided

ONH provides professional home and light commercial services, including without limitation: handyman work, plumbing, electrical, painting, furniture assembly, and general repairs. Scope, materials, sequencing, and exclusions for any job are defined in your written estimate or work order. Web or phone inquiries are requests for service—not a guarantee of availability or pricing until confirmed by ONH. We may decline work that is unsafe, unlawful, outside our qualifications, or outside our service area.

Service Area

ONH currently focuses on the I-95 corridor, including New York City, NY; Newark, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; and Wilmington, DE, and surrounding areas we choose to serve. Service area and dispatch rules may change; we will confirm whether we can accept a job before scheduling.

Pricing and Payment

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled arrival window. Cancellations or reschedules with less notice may incur a cancellation fee or forfeit part of a deposit, as stated on your estimate or scheduling confirmation. Repeated short-notice cancellations may affect future booking priority.

Liability

ONH operates as an insured service provider. Work requiring a licensed trade is performed by licensed contractor partners as required by applicable law. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions—including hidden defects, prior DIY work, moisture or mold concealed behind surfaces, overloaded or non-code electrical systems, or structural issues that are not reasonably visible during a standard walkthrough—unless we expressly assumed responsibility in writing.

ONH provides a warranty on workmanship for the scope we performed, for the period and terms stated on your invoice or separate warranty document (if any). Manufacturer warranties apply to parts or fixtures per the manufacturer.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ONH is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or performance of services. For any claim relating to a specific job, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid to ONH for that job unless a higher minimum applies under applicable law.

Client Portal

Reviews and Feedback

We appreciate honest feedback and reviews on public platforms or surveys we send you. Reviews should reflect your genuine experience. We may quote anonymized feedback internally for training unless you grant broader permission. Abusive, false, or discriminatory content may be reported or removed by platform operators under their policies.

Intellectual Property

The Our Neighborhood Handyman name, ONH branding, logo, website design, copy, photos, videos, and other marketing content are owned by ONH or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or imply endorsement without prior written consent.

Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or services provided by ONH, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, except where prohibited by law. You waive any objection to proceeding in those courts.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically. The current version will appear on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email where appropriate. Continued use of our site or services after changes constitutes acceptance, except where prior consent is required by law.
